The service
FoilScan identifies trading cards from photos and shows market prices. Recognition is not always right, which is why every scan asks you to confirm the printing. Free use is limited to a number of scans per day; we may change limits to keep the service available. A paid Pro plan is not available yet.
Prices are information, not offers
Prices are market data published by TCGplayer and Cardmarket, collected daily through TCGdex, and may be incomplete, delayed or wrong. They are near-mint reference prices, not appraisals or offers to buy or sell. Do not rely on them as the only basis for a purchase or sale. FoilScan does not grade cards or estimate condition.
Card images and names
Card images are small, unaltered official scans provided by TCGdex and remain the property of their copyright owners. Pokémon, card names and set names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify cards.
Not affiliated
FoilScan is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Creatures, GAME FREAK or Wizards of the Coast.
Acceptable use
Do not scrape the site at high volume, try to bypass the free scan limits, or upload images that are not of trading cards.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, FoilScan is not liable for losses from using it or relying on its prices.
